Polyvore whore

A mere 5 exams away from summer, and boy I am already full to the brim with excitement, bubblin' away like a dormant volcano ready to PARTY. Right, well I am clearly overtired as you can see, and I would just like to post about my newly found adoration of the b-e-a-utiful website that is Polyvore. I think this is how coke addicts feel because I jUST CAN'T STOP OH MY. If any of you kitty kats out there have an account just follow me and like me things and I will like things back and stuff (?).

STRAY666

As I mentioned last time, I did a shoot with Tom, the genius behind http://www.flickr.com/photos/stray666/ and all of the photos are now available on the flickr page, so I thought I would share some on here too, along with more of his radical photography...

 (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧*:・゚✧

P.S Before I go, I just need to share this immense music video made by a friend, Lola. This is her song, her video, and if you don't enjoy it I just feel sorry for you.
IT'S SO CUTE AND CATCHY AND YOU NEED TO LOVE IT.

'In a World...'

Greetings and salutations everyone. My GCSEs start in 5 days. *internal hysterical laughter/sobbing*. On a more interesting note, I wanna talk about last weekend.

If you can recall, I went to the Die Antwoord concert last year with my homie Tom, who is a mad famous tumblr blogger with photography skillz on a new level. Of course, when he mentioned photographing me I was game, so last Saturday we went around my ends of North London and here are a couple shots, which can be seen on his flickr page here - http://www.flickr.com/photos/stray666/

Move over Cara Deli it's my time to shine lol

Then, on Sunday evening my fam and I went on a family outing to see a film called 'In a World...' that is part of the Sundance Festival, which was written and directed by, not to mention starring, Lake Bell. She is actually a friend of my parents as she is Scott Campbell's fiancée, who is a friend we met through Thomas Hooper in New York. Scott is such a lovely guy, and a super talented artist/tattoo artists, and Lake is so witty and insanely beautiful. They are essentially the couple you would despise out of sheer jealousy. Anyways, they were there and it was awesome meeting them both on such a special occasion, and the film was genuinely one of the best films I have seen in a hella long time. Unfortunately there is no trailer yet, but when it has been released I will be posting it.

THE RETURN OF THE MILO HEAD FILM RATING!!!!1!!
Oh yes, this film was totally worth 4 Milo heads. You heard me.

oh COME ON

Fun fact - Scott and my brother Con look shockingly similar in person. For reals.

That's all I've got to report for now, and I am sure nothing will be interesting until after my exams on the 14th June. What I think I have not blogged about yet is my exciting summer plan. For the whole of July I will be living in New York, as I am enrolled in a digital photography and short film course at Parsons! Excited would be the biggest understatement of the century. It's at the point where I don't even care about my exams anymore; I want to get them done and dusted so I can run away to the big apple.

All of my current emotions about my summer plans summed up in a photo -

That is all. Much love.

California 2013

Oh gosh there is a whole lot to say about the holiday but I think I will have to let my photos do most of the talking as I should probably do some sort of revision for my GCSEs that I should probably care about but currently all I can do is reminisce about Coachella and look forward to the month I will be spending in New York this summer. So, here are the photographs, starting from my time in Santa Cruz, visiting Alcatraz in SF, then my time in L.A and finally, COACHELLA 2013 ☼ ☮ ❤

Ha ha what fun we had eh mum!

Being that annoying tourist with a Kodak >

So I'm not sure what I was implying in this photo. Luv u mum.

Needless to say, I saw Spring Breakers, and I absolutely LOVED it. So the balaclava from Opening Ceremony was a necessity, obvo.

This is a family friend, Zack, who is the rapper in a group my brother is in. Check out some of their music here, it's tiiiight.

The Chateau is essentially the ghetto when we roll up.

Wu-Tang Clan were off the chain.
(These guys are a couple of family friends who came to Coachella last year, so it's p much an annual thing. Laurence, the kid in the blue hoodie, is 10 years old knew Action Bronson lyrics and he is cooler than me.

✵ Grimes, the fallen angel ✵

❤ ❤ ❤ RiFF RAFF WAS THIS CLOSE TO ME I NEARLY PEED HE IS PERFECT FANGIRLING STILL BLAAAAAAH ❤ ❤ ❤

Action Bronson was hands down one of the top three acts I saw. He is now my fave and I am listening to his album non stop, so if y'all don't know him GO LISTEN NOW.

Cheeky snaps of my attempt at being a Coachella hipster i.e some sort of animal print, weed memorabilia, chunky jewellery, platform trainers and glitter. A lot of glitter.

The Stone Roses was awkwardly quiet in terms of the number of people in the audience (it was pretty much just me and my parents jigging and singing along like O.A.P's) but they were killer.

Awesome friends at Coachella. Chris in the hat works with Lina at Sephora, and Dan with the gnarly hair is an up and coming hair colourist who is incredible and what he does and he knows Grimes and Brooke Candy, ergo he's epic.

The favourites at Coachella this year were Grimes, Blur, Earl Sweatshirt, New Order, Action Bronson, Danny Brown, 2 Chainz, The Stone Roses, Hot Chip and Wu-Tang. It was quite a different vibe to last year, and admittedly the acts weren't as good because there was not Snoop, Frank O, Weeknd or A$AP, but hey, it was still super fun and actually feeling the sun on my skin made me feel like I had been hibernating for 10 years being in London these past months.

Hope you can forgive me for the lack of posts as life is pretty busy at the mo, and I doubt I will be blogging any time in the near future, but I will make up for it this summer, I PINKY PROMISE.

Spring back into life! lol no

Well well well. It has been a while. Sorry about the absence, what with school work piling up, and those exams getting closer and closer. Those GCSE things. Yep, them ones. Oh, teenage days! When panic attacks and break downs are an hourly occurrence =]

Now, onto mildly interesting aspects of my life...

This week started well, minus the school part, as my family and I went to see 'The Book of Mormon', a musical by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park. If you haven't been living under a rock for the few years, then you have heard all the rave reviews, and let's be honest, if they created South Park then it will be genius. And of course, it was. Oh me oh my, it did not disappoint, and there was rarely a moment where I wasn't entertained, and I am pretty sure my father was laughing for 2 hours straight. If it's good enough for him, it's good enough for ALL OF YOUZ. As soon as it was finished, I started planning how I would get my paws on more tickets to see it again. If you haven't already booked then get yo self on the website pronto. If you are easily offended by comedy about religion, or any kind of controversial subjects, then just see this musical and re-evaluate your life  (☞゚ヮ゚)☞

Secondly, I would like to just mention that I am totally head over heels in love. There is a deep infatuation... and it is with Breaking Bad. Please, I urge you to watch it. It is as a addictive as the Meth the show is about. Okay, I don't know if I'm allowed to say that, but I imagine it's probably the same level of addictive as something like fries, like once you have one you want another and then you end up with a food baby and um what was the point I was making? Share a side order of fries next time???

............

I LOVE BREAKING BAD

✧・゚: *✧・゚:* \(✿◕‿◕)/ *:・゚✧*:・゚✧

And here we see more examples of why I love the internet.

Now I would also like to tell you of the newest favourite film on my 1000 page long list of best films of all time. It's called 'The Dreamers', and here is a link to the IMDB if you want to know more about it. To summarize, it is set in Paris, they smoke the entire time, drink wine like water, they are in the nudey dudey for the majority of the film, they talk about politics and films, there is some sex (teehee) and my future husband, Louis Garrel, stars in it. A recipe for perfection.

Oh sweet baby Jesus, LOUIS HOLD ME.

Finally, before I sign off, here are a few items I have recently purchased (secretly ordered from eBay at midnight, which is apparently my favourite time to online shop, when my mother is unaware until the next morning 。◕‿◕。 )

Blatantly from my Instagram. No shame.

This catch up has been wunderbar, and before I leave, here is one of my top songs of the moment, and yet another amusing anecdote from
'really high goat'.
